NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Sumpter Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Meeting at Sumpter 
Township Hall, 23480 Sumpter Road, Belleville, MI 48111 at:

6:00 pm, Thursday
April 9th, 2026
NATURE OF THE REQUEST(S)

1. Consider zoning ordinance text amendments to Section 6.57, Portable Storage 
Containers.

This Public Meeting has been scheduled to provide all interested citizens with an 
opportunity to express opinions, ask questions, and discuss in detail all aspects of the 
request. This notice is posted in compliance with PA 267 of 1976 as amended (Open 
Meetings Act), Act 110 of 2006 (Michigan Zoning Enabling Act) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The Sumpter Township Planning Commission will provide 
necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired 
and audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with 
disabilities at the meeting or public hearing upon 5 days’ notice to the Sumpter Township
Planning Commission. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aid or services

For those unable to attend the Public Hearing, written comments may be submitted to 
the Township Clerk’s Office before the hearing date by Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 4:00
