Wayne County Household Hazardous Waste Collection:

Wayne County's Department of Public Services hosts four Household Hazardous Waste Collections per year for County residents. The collections are designed to accept unwanted household hazardous waste for proper disposal from residents. Only household generated products from Wayne County residents are accepted. Wayne County is continuing household hazardous waste (HHW) collection events in 2025. These events are listed below:

 

• April 5th, 2025 - Harper Woods, MI 48225

• June 28th, 2025 -  Dearborn, MI 48128

• August 23rd, 2025 - Westland, MI 48185

• October 11th, 2025 - Taylor, MI 48180

Sumpter Township Recycling Center Information:

The Sumpter Township Recycling Center is open:

• Wednesdays from 8 am to 4 pm

• Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm

Please note: the Recycling Center is CLOSED on/near holidays. Closure notices will be posted in advance.
